Idea 1

Installation idea - by the the large window in the Hatton, exhibiting large scale canvases as a triptych.

placed below the canvases are headphones (may not be covid safe?) where my sound pieces are played used to create these paintings, through listerning of sounds recorded in different landscapes and places which inspired my practice and see the layers of the paintings unfold.

Three main locations

- the blossom tree

- Tynemouth and St.Mary Lighthouse ?

- Jesmond dene? or my walk around newcastle

Sound and light is the primary focus of my installations, here sunlight, which is uncontrolled will act as a performance to the work

Idea 2

Installation idea, would have to be in a small room, where sound can be played out of speakers (hidden?) and with a projector shadows (i will produce as a film study) will project around the room and onto the canvases, revealing the paintings.

NB// will think about using mirrors? or metalic paint to capture the light coming onto these paintings

will be an immersive experience for the viewer, surrounded with sound, light, shadow and texture which is controlled by myself (the artist)

NB// think about exhibition off the wall? maybe on the floor

documenting sunlight coming through the window in the Hatton - potential space idea for final yr exhibition

relies on sunlight, out of my control so see when best to view this work

MURAL - painting onto the wall, the light is the focus, leave shadows behind, uncontrolled so make light the focus of the painting here
