My work explores the theme of nature, time and memories. My first sound piece is a collection of voicenotes by friends and family answering the question, 'Do you believe that nature plays a significant role in memories?' With these shared experiences and stories, the recordings are played over a projection of a short film I created, using a series of photographs I have taken over the year of the seasonal changes of a blossom tree I encountered in full blossom during the first lockdown. Since then it has continued to play a key part in the inspiration and creation of my practice and research.​

Another short film I have been working on captures my family's personal memories of a blossom tree that used to take pride of place in the centre of our family garden in the Essex countryside. The sound piece consists of an interview with each family member answering a series of questions relating to childhood, nature and memories of our growing up at The Parsonage.
